We’re looking for a Communications Intern

Job Title: Communications Intern at Lifeplus Wahoo Cycling Team

Location: Remote or at-race in the UK or EU

Type: Part-time Internship (20 hours per week - can be flexible)

Duration: 6 months (April 2023 - September 2023 - can be flexible)

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Communications Intern to support our team's communication efforts. The successful candidate will work closely with the Communications Manager to help create and distribute content across various channels, including social media, email, and website. Are you passionate about social media, are you studying communication and/or journalism and have you always wanted to work in a cycling team? Then this internship might be something for you!

Responsibilities:

• Assist with drafting and editing content for social media, email newsletters, and website

• Monitor and engage with social media communities and track performance metrics

• Help plan and execute social media campaigns and events

• Research and write content on cycling races

• Support with partnership activities and coordinate with team partners

Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

• Knowledge of social media platforms and content creation

• Familiarity with women's cycling and sports industry

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

• Pursuing a qualification or degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field
