Drops-Le Col supported by Tempur will make their 2021 debut at Setmana Ciclista Valenciana on the 18th of February before heading north for the Spring Classics.

The team are pleased to announce that its early-season schedule is taking shape with race invitations to races such as Setmana Ciclista Valenciana, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Danlith Nokere Koerse.

The team will debut at Setmana Ciclista Valenciana on the 18th February, a race where Joss Lowden finished in 12th place last year and where the team have previously enjoyed early season successes with a stage victory and the Young Riders Jersey.

From there the team will travel north to Belgium and compete in two races which we were able to complete during the COVID hit 2020 season - Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Le Samyn des Dames.

March then continues with two new races for the team. The Healthy Ageing Tour will see the Drops-Le Col team represented for the first time closely followed by a debut appearance at Danlith Nokere Koerse.

"We are delighted to have secured such an impressive early season race programme. Everyone is extremely excited to make up for the lost time and get stuck into the new season from the get-go. Bring it on!” Team Director, Bob Varney commented.

Norwegian, Emilie Moberg looks ahead with excitement. “It’s a great program. I think it is a good fit to have a team camp in Spain and directly put the work into action at Valencia. It’s nice to start with a four-day stage race with mixed stages (sprint stages and climbers’ routes). Then straight on to Belgium and the epic spring classics!”

“Racing in Belgium is something special, even with fewer people out on the road and I have really missed that! The race I am most looking forward to is HAT and I’m super happy we are racing it this year. I think we have a strong team for this stage race, and I can’t wait to get out there for some cross-wind actions and hectic sprints!”

We are awaiting news of further race invitations and will update you in due course.
