Team signs Dutch cross-sport talent Eva van Agt

The Dutch rider joined the team officially on 1 May 2022.

Hailing from Nijmegen in the Gelderland province of Netherlands, she played field hockey at a high level from a young age. Having moved to the United States for a scholarship she found freedom on the bike taking part in many long rides and adventures.

When the time came to hang up her stick, the bike became more important to Eva. The decision came during the pandemic to try and fuel her competitive streak while lots of other outlets were shut down. A number of successful club races followed.

During the Ardennes Classics, the 25 year-old joined the team for some reconnaissance and our performance team were able to see her talent first hand.

"We have been impressed with Eva since we first saw her race at Volta Limburg, she was the only non-UCI rider in the front group and certainly held her own. Since that time, we've got to know her more and have continued to be impressed, both by her professionalism and physical level – but also here as a person. We're excited for her to join the team and are focused on developing her talent,” said Tom Varney, general manager.

The amazing team chemistry, combined with a good balance between professionalism and fun, and a focus on development and experience, Le Col - Wahoo seems like the perfect fit for me. I cannot wait to put on their jersey and start racing!"

Eva will begin racing in our colours this weekend at GP Eco Struct.
