Joss Lowden took home the team’s first GC overall victory at Tour de Feminin this week.

The four-stage race started with an individual time trial of 13km where Joss finished second, just two seconds behind the winner. The remaining team made a good showing with all riders finishing inside the top 30.

During stage two a large group remained together over an undulating course with the leader overall not in the group Joss Lowden took over the GC victory with just a five-second gap over second place.

With bonus seconds available on stage three the lead overall was up for grabs. Great teamwork ensured the race stayed under control and Joss finished safely in the bunch. Joss had moved down to second on GC due to the bonus seconds on offer but only by a handful of seconds.

The fourth and final stage was the Queen’s Stage with a lot of climbing on the menu the team’s plan was clear. From the start of the race, the team sacrificed themselves to the plan and made the race hard. After just one lap the main group was much smaller. On lap two, the good teamwork continued and Joss used this as a launchpad for an attack.

What followed was pure domination. Joss rode 65km solo to the finish with a gap of over five minutes to the next group on the road.

What a way to secure our first team overall GC victory!
