Grinczer joins the team

Lifeplus-Wahoo is delighted to welcome Natalie Grinczer to the team for the remainder of the 2023 season.

The 29-year-old rider has spent the last eighteen months riding for French Continental Team, Stade Rochelais Charente-Maritime, but financial issues in the team gave the opportunity for the transfer to take place mid-season. Previously, Grinczer has been part of CAMS-Tifosi, Bizkaia Durango and WNT-Rotor.

Grinczer is a strong climber who can excel in long, hard races. Most recently she placed 6th in the National Road Race Championships, finishing in a select group of World Tour riders as the first Continental rider. Earlier this year, Grinczer had performed well in many races. Most notably finishing 5th at GP Ciudad de Eibar, 10th in Durango Durango, 8th in GP de Chambéry and 8th overall at Vuelta Extremandura.

Team Manager, Tom Varney commented “We weren’t necessarily looking to bring in an additional rider to the squad mid-season but having had the opportunity to bring someone of Natalie’s calibre on-board, we decided to go for it. We believe it’s for the best for the team and our goals for the rest of the season, particularly given some situations that we are faced with in terms of longer-term absences and injuries. Things moved quickly from first contact and we’re glad to bring Natalie to the team.”

"After facing a difficult situation I'm really grateful for the opportunity to join Lifeplus-Wahoo for the remainder of the season, they offer great stability and a really exciting race programme for my profile. I can't wait to get started with the team and continue to build on my 2023 season which has been largely positive so far." Natalie said.
